I was on a DIY FRENZY today! This is what is great about being really limited with your fashion budget-the chance, nay, the NECESSITY, the URGE, to get creative with what you already have! And I am one girl who has a whole helluva lot! Today I decided be fashionably inventive and turn an old watch into a pendant necklace. I just found some thin ribbon, threaded it through and tied a bow in the back. Voila!

signature style through charming accessories

I just purchased this gorgeous bracelet from a local boutique I have recently fell in love with. The artisan creates these uniquely charming items in a town called Shadow Valley (also the name of her company) not far from the boutique. I love supporting artists and designers that are right in my own community or home state and they usually create items that are one of a kind that can really give your style a signature look.

At present you can find her on Ebay where she sells jewelry componants. Hopefully soon though I will have convinced her to get a store set up on Etsy and she can share her wares with all the world!

my beauty regime includes taming my crazy eyebrows

Here in the non-airbrushed REAL World those of us girls who strive for glamor run up against a plethora of challenges. Especially considering we like to get out there and do things, like create art, dance, and bang a hot boy. You know…as opposed to just sitting home and looking nice.

I love glamour-but my experience of trying to maintain it has been tested time and time again. But because I refuse to buy in to “frumpitude” while I’m out having adventures I’ve learned to take a few things in stride and keep as many hairs in place as possible along with my sense of humor. I don’t do much without music. I clean my house with it, I do my makeup with it, I work with it, I put on my headphones and sing along or I crank it up and dance around. It is woven into my lifestyle.
